Beyond the Grind: Navigating Entrepreneurship with Sacred Wisdom

As entrepreneurs, we often find ourselves walking a tightrope as we pursue our dreams and struggle to fulfill our immediate responsibilities. Balancing the demands of a day job with the aspirations of entrepreneurship can be daunting, but it’s a challenge many of us face on the path to building our own businesses. It’s either a tightrope walk or a rollercoaster ride —and I am familiar with both. I started my latest business on the side of my desk right after I left a job that I was good at but not “my calling” or “purpose in life.”

In this journey filled with ups and downs, I’ve discovered that drawing upon the wisdom of the Seven Sacred Teachings, particularly the principle of Wisdom, has provided me with valuable guidance and support.

Wisdom has taught me to seek knowledge, insight, and understanding in all aspects of my life. It reminds me to approach challenges with discernment and clarity, drawing upon past lessons to inform my decisions for the future. As entrepreneurs, it’s easy for us to become overwhelmed by the complexities of our endeavours and lose sight of the importance of seeking deep wisdom in our actions and choices.

When juggling a day job and entrepreneurial pursuits, the Sacred Teaching of Wisdom becomes essential in navigating the complexities of our journey. It requires us to make informed decisions, set strategic goals, and adapt to changing circumstances with grace and resilience. By embracing Wisdom, we can avoid common pitfalls, learn from our mistakes, and chart a course toward success grounded in knowledge and understanding.

Wisdom also extends to our relationships with others, whether colleagues, clients, or business partners. Building successful relationships requires empathy, communication, and a willingness to listen and learn from one another. By fostering a culture of Wisdom in our professional endeavours, we can create an environment where collaboration flourishes, innovation thrives, and mutual respect is paramount.

In my journey as an entrepreneur, I’ve learned to approach each day with a deep sense of Wisdom, seeking knowledge and understanding in every decision I make. Wisdom is recognizing that success is not just about achieving our goals but also about how we navigate the challenges and obstacles along the way. By embracing the principle of Wisdom, I’ve made strategic choices, built meaningful relationships, and am creating a business that is both successful and sustainable in the long term. If you’re an entrepreneur, you know this is no small feat. Finding the right “day job” is imperative. Equally important is being transparent and honest about your intentions.

Recently, I decided that I needed a day job to pay my bills. It had to be something I could lean into, something I could sink my teeth into (no, I am not a vampire!), and something I could do to create impact. Why? Because this is what I am all about. I want to make a difference in the world.

Lucky me! Thanks to the Sacred Teaching of Wisdom, I have found the BEST DAY JOB! By day, I am creating impact and making a difference; by night, I am creating impact and making a difference. I am making a difference in the world—in everything I do. One of the first things I’ve noticed by finding something that aligns with my values is that I have more energy. I feel lighter. Also, by reframing that “I need to find a job to pay the bills” to “I want to focus my energy and gifts on making an impact,” I am having the time of my life. This change in mindset has changed everything.

To my fellow entrepreneurs who are balancing a day job with their entrepreneurial ambitions, I offer this reminder:

  1. Embrace the wisdom of Wisdom.
  2. Seek knowledge, insight, and understanding in all aspects of your journey, and let it guide you toward success with clarity and purpose.
  3. As you build your business, find a day job that resonates deeply with what you are meant to do. We are not meant to just work to pay our bills. We are meant to thrive and prosper while living joyful, loving lives.

By cultivating a mindset of Wisdom in all aspects of your life and business, you’ll achieve your goals and inspire others to do the same.

I love what I do! I have made a very WISE choice. I wish the same for you.
